Betty Weibel has consulted with America 250-Ohio leadership since its earliest days and helped create the roadmap for its signature event, Ohio Goes to the Movies. She has enjoyed a successful career as a journalist, corporate executive and public relations professional. As a principal of the Northeast Ohio public relations agency Yopko Penhallurick, she manages national and Ohio-based accounts specializing in special event development. Among her agency’s accomplishments are numerous awards for the Ohio Bicentennial celebration, including the national PRSA Silver Anvil for public relations campaign. Betty has served on numerous state boards including the Ohio History Connection, Ohioana Library Association and Ohio Humanities. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Lake Erie College and is a nonfiction author whose titles include The Ohio Literary Trail: A Guide.
